INTEGRITY ANALYTICS


Channel sales data is a critical input for creating accurate financial statements, as well as for effective channel management. Yet most companies are able to perform only the most cursory validations of this data. To address this need, the Integrity Analytics extension to Zyme’s TrueData solution provides companies with a host of analyses to surface subtle errors in the sales and inventory data they receive from partners.

In addition to the standard data validations and enrichments performed by TrueData, Integrity Analytics creates a sales-in/sales-out (SISO) reconciliation report. To generate this report, the validation engine makes an estimate of expected inventory (“calculated inventory”) starting with the previous week’s calculated inventory, plus sales-in, less sales-out. The validation engine then compares calculated inventory to channel-partner reported inventory to see whether the variance between them falls within reasonable limits that could be explained by causes such as transit time. The SISO reconciliation report can identify issues with data quality, operational issues, and inadequacies in channel data management.

Integrity Analytics also offers additional analyses that can help highlight and resolve business issues and improve the accuracy of certain accounting allowances. For example, a trend analysis of weeks of inventory on-hand can determine whether reported channel partner inventory levels are reasonable and accurate. An Inventory Aging Report can provide important insights about whether the inventory is aged or has built up recently, helping to predict returns and diagnose changes in market conditions.  to compare its data against trends in the SISO ratio and observe historical seasonality. Finally, a sales-in/sales-out ratio analysis and spike analysis can help identify operational issues or changes in market conditions.
