Role: Deployment Engineer
Location: Bangalore, India
Responsibilities
- Set-up and manage the configuration management infrastructure that includes tools for version control, bug tracking, build, deployment etc.
- Deployment of applications and services as per the release management process, which includes configuring the deployment environment, deployment of the applications/services, applying patches.
- Run DB scripts on MySQL DB to update schema or create new tables etc. as part of the patching
- Write scripts to automate build and deployment processes
Required skills
- Good exposure and experience in using and administration of Linux environments and tools
- Experience in setting-up and configuring Apache, Tomcat, Informatica, MySQL, etc.
- Scripting in Linux environments, using Bash, Perl, or Python
Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree in Computer Science or equivalent from a recognized university/institute
- Around 2-3 years of experience in relevant areas mentioned above
Key Performance Metrics:
- Error free deployment
- Automation of deployment processes
